Roger Waters' world tour opened in Sydney, Australia. The tour included New Zealand, China, India, United Arab Emirates,
South America, United States, Canada, Europe, and the UK (including two nights at London's Earls Court).

'Syd Barrett Madcap's Last Laugh', a tribute concert to the late Floyd frontman, took place at
London's Barbican Hall. Performers included Kevin Ayers, Captain Sensible, and Chrissie Hynde. David Gilmour,
Nick Mason and Richard Wright performed Arnold Layne; Roger Waters performed a solo composition, Flickering Flame.

David Gilmour released Remember That Night, a live DVD recorded over three nights at London's Royal Albert Hall.
